A Sensational New Eating Experience for Spanish Tapas in London
El Pirata Detapas offers mouth-watering, flavour-packed Spanish cuisine with a great selection of traditional and contemporary tapas dishes to choose from and a well-crafted a la carte menu.
El Pirata in W2 draws its inspiration from the ever-popular El Pirata in Mayfair, established more than 12 years ago, and a favourite must-visit venue for Spanish tapas enthusiasts.
METRO ***** Relax and funky. Meat is a particular strength, interesting wine list too. This is the kind of restaurant I’d like at the end of my road.
EVENING STANDARD El pirata detapas has joined the list of London venues selling superior Spanish food. The staff were five-star; friendly, helpful, tactful, dignified but unstuffy, seemingly taking pleasure in their work. The combination of people, place and ambience...make this a very nice spot for a leisurely meal. We left happy and relaxed, which is surely the main point of eating out.
HARDEN’S We left feeling we’d had a bit of a culinary adventure, with some surprise highlights, for around £20 a head (no booze), which is really not to be sneezed at...We think this is a place which deserves to thrive.
CITY AM “Ticks all the modern tapas boxes”. If this was at the end of my road, I’d become a regular.
LONDON LITE This neighbourhood restaurant... is a serious find.(Head Chef) Allibhoy has added vogueish touches to the menu such as the El Bulli-esque ‘spherified mandarin caviar’ with octopus carpaccio. But the old classics are there too- tortilla is divine, light and moreish”
THE HILL “This small site is home to a serious kitchen making a wide range of high class tapas. Staff are passionate and enthusiastic and the place is sure to thrive”
THE GROVE Nowhere have I eaten food this good at these prices. Not even in Spain.
